Ant-Man Wins the Weekend Box Office, James Cameron Beats James Cameron, R.I.P. Richard Belzer
Richard Belzer always felt like one of those performers who would just be around forever. The actor and stand-up comic had a heck of a career, particularly when it came to playing his character of John Munch. Munch originated on Homicide: Life on the Street, but the character would go on to appear in multiple shows over the year, including Law and Order, The X-Files, The Wire, 30 Rock, Sesame Street (yes, really), and more.
Somehow, Munch transcended genres and networks to be a consistent presence. But sadly, Belzer has left us. The actor died over the weekend at the age of 78. He will be missed.
An obituary for Belzer awaits you below in the latest /Film newsletter, along with great stories, features, and more, from your friends at Slash Film Dot Com.
