Harry Potter TV Series, Blade, Stephen King, Beef
During their big announcements yesterday, the folks at Warner Bros. confirmed that a Harry Potter reboot is on the way in the form a TV series. The series has a 10-year commitment, with each season tackling the book. But this begs the question: why?
Even if you want to overlook J.K. Rowling’s recent behavior, the Harry Potter movies aren’t exactly old and forgotten. Nor are they disliked — people seem to love them and are fond of revisiting them on a yearly basis. Why, then, tell the exact same story, just on TV and with new actors? It doesn’t make much sense to me, but I won’t be surprised if the series ends up being a hit in the end.
