Indiana Jones Heads to TV, a Spirited Review, Keanu Reeves Joins a John Wick Spin-Off
Wow, is it time for another /Film Newsletter already? Yes, yes it is. And we have some surprising stories in store. For one thing: it looks like an Indiana Jones TV series on Disney+ is a real possibility. Then there's news that Keanu Reeves will be appearing in a John Wick spin-off.
Elsewhere in the newsletter, we have a review of the Will Ferrell/Ryan Reynolds holiday comedy Spirited, a story about Steven Spielberg crying, underrated disaster movies, and much more.
Have You Heard the News?
There are rumblings that an Indiana Jones Disney+ series could be on the way. But what exactly will the series be? Harrison Ford has already said that his upcoming role in Indiana Jones 5 will be the last time he plays the part. Will a younger actor take over for Ford? It wouldn't be the first time (remember The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles?).
Both Keanu Reeves and Ian McShane are reprising their franchise roles for the John Wick spin-off Ballerina. Ana de Armas is set to star.
Rian Johnson wants to make a Knives Out board game, and I support this idea.
Steven Spielberg was moved to tears on set while making his highly autobiographical movie The Fabelmans.
