New Lord Of The Rings Movies Are on the Way, Goodbye Succession
Warner Bros. dropped some rather big news yesterday: there are more Lord of the Rings movies headed our way. This is either a great idea or the worst idea ever, depending on where you stand. I’m somewhere in the middle. I’m happy to return to Middle-earth, but I also think Peter Jackson’s trilogy was a lightning-in-a-bottle moment. Case in point: when Jackson went back to the well with his Hobbit trilogy, the results were incredibly lackluster. Can anyone, even Jackson, recapture the magic of that original film trilogy? I have my doubts.
The news about the new Lord of the Rings movies is just one story in the latest issue of the /Film newsletter. Below you’ll find more hot news items, like the news that Succession is ending with season 4. You’ll also find reviews of Cocaine Bear and Creed III, great features and exclusives, and more.
