Strange World Bombs, Glass Onion is a Hit, His Dark Materials Ends Strong
Welcome back from the holiday weekend. Several films arrived in theaters over the holiday, but it wasn't smooth sailing for many of the titles. For one thing, Disney's latest, Strange World, is a huge flop.
Then again, Glass Onion, the Knives Out sequel that had itself a limited theatrical release, was a big hit. Of course, Glass Onion won't be in theaters for long — it's destined for Netflix. But in the wake of the weekend, one can't help but wonder how much bigger of a hit Netflix would have on its hands if they kept the film in theaters.
The latest bit of box office news is just one of several stories waiting for you in the latest /Film newsletter.
