In not-so-surprising news, it looks like The Super Mario Bros. Movie is officially the biggest movie of the year at the box office. Congrats to Italian plumbers everywhere! Now, to be fair, it’s still relatively early in the year (sort of), so this can — and likely will — change. For now, though, Mario is the biggest hit of 2023, which means you can expect a sequel (or potential cinematic universe) announcement any day now. That’s right, we will never be free of Mario Mario and his accursed brother, Luigi!
