Venom 3 Gets a Director, William Jackson Harper Joins Ant-Man 3, Tom Savini Loves Scaring People
Folks, it's Friday. We're all tired and ready to shuck off the week. We all want to go to our favorite watering holes and/or couches and just chill the heck out. I know it, you know. But first, let's talk about something very important: the /Film Newsletter.
Before we knock off for the weekend, let's dive into the world of film and TV. In this issue, Venom 3 gets itself a director, William Jackson Harper is in Ant-Man 3 and people already have fan theories, Henry Cavill explains why he re-loaded his arms in that bathroom fight in Mission: Impossible – Fallout, and more! Much more! So read on, and I'll see you all on Monday. And remember to wear a costume, because it'll be Halloween.
Have You Heard the News?
The Good Place actor William Jackson Harper is part of the cast of Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania. But who is he playing? The role is being kept secret for now, which means everyone is speculating wildly. The biggest bit of speculation is that Harper is playing Reed Richards from the Fantastic Four, and you know what? I dig that idea. Of course, there's also always a chance he's just playing a random, not-so-important character who pops up in one scene.
Kelly Marcel, who wrote Venom and Venom: Let There Be Carnage, is now set to both write and direct the upcoming Venom 3. Tom Hardy will once again play Eddie Brock, a grumbling reporter who fights crime with his alien parasite/boyfriend Venom.
If you suffer from coulrophobia, beware! The producers of Smile are adapting the YA horror novel Clown in a Cornfield into a movie.
It turns out most of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 2 was already written before season 1 premiered.
