Wakanda Forever Review, A Shawn Levy Star Wars Movie, More Ryan Murphy True Crime
The latest issue of the /Film Newsletter is here, and it's a big one. Okay, it's not any bigger than any of the other newsletters, I just wanted to give you all some false expectations.
Anyway, in this issue, Netflix doubles down on Ryan Murphy true crime shows and orders more of The Watcher and Monster, Shawn Levy gets his own Star Wars movie, a review of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and much more.
Have You Heard the News?

Meanwhile, in other Star Wars news, the Star Wars movie directed by J.D. Dillard is no longer happening. Bummer.
Two recent Netflix Ryan Murphy shows — Monster and The Watcher — were big hits. So the streamer went ahead and ordered more. Future seasons of Monster will focus on different serial killers, while The Watcher will (somehow) get a second season.
Lin-Manuel Miranda has joined the cast of the Disney+ Percy Jackson & The Olympians series.
A Gears of War movie and animated series are both headed to Netflix.
Daniel Kaluuya will voice Spider-Punk in Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse. I have no idea who Spider-Punk is, but I can't wait to find out.
Rian Johnson is eager to get started on his third Knives Out movie, and I can't wait to see what he cooks up.
