It’s the end of an era as Disney has fired Ike Perlmutter, Chairman of Marvel Entertainment. Perlmutter and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige reportedly do not get along, and Perlmutter was actually previously forced out of Marvel Studios after one too many clashes with Feige. Now, Perlmutter is completely out of the company as Disney undergoes some restructuring and cost-cutting.
Dear Chris, sorry to bother you like this, but as I had send an email to Slashfilm about 6 months ago that was never responded to, I feel the need to reach out here.
On October 17, 2021, I published an article on my Substack newsletter called "The Unseen Alternate Endings of Unbreakable and Glass."
After google searching my article , I found something odd. On December 6, 2021, Slashfilm published an article called "The Original Ending To Unbreakable Left More Questions Than Answers"
I find that there is a number of strange similarities between this and my article. Though it does not directly copy my text, it similarly asserts that 'Unbreakable' had a different ending in its screenplay from the final film, as evinced by the superimposed texts, uses the exact same sources that I've used in trying to prove my claims and uses the exact same quotes from those sources. Even the formatting of the quotes is suspiciously similar.
It is my conclusion that the author read my article, took 'inspiration,' and then published it without giving my article ANY ATTRIBUTION, not even a link. I demand that the article be either immediately pulled from Slashfilm or amended to include clear and direct attribution of my article.
Your site claims that you "...take great pains to make sure we trace facts and information back to their original sources as often as possible, and include links to those primary and (if necessary) secondary sources for full transparency."
